David Davtian
David Davtian (b. 1972, Vanadzor, Armenia) is an internationally exhibited Armenian painter known for his vibrant, expressive works and participation in major art fairs around the world. Born and raised in Vanadzor, Armenia, Davtian began his artistic journey at an early age. He received formal art training at the Stepan Aghajanian Art School, graduating in 1988, and continued his studies at the Panos Terlemezian Art College, where he completed his education in 1992.
Following his formal training, Davtian dedicated time to art education, teaching in the village of Loris (“Otsoun”) and later volunteering as an art instructor in Martakert (Artsakh) through the late 1990s.
Davtian’s work has been shown widely in group exhibitions and major international art expos. His paintings have appeared in key cultural centers across three continents, including Yerevan, Paris, Vienna, Barcelona, London, Montreal, Toronto, Moscow, Sochi, and Glendale. He has participated in premier global events such as the Art Expo New York (Jacob Javits Convention Center), Art Expo Montreal, and international fairs in Beirut, Buenos Aires, and Philadelphia.
Today, Davtian is based in Yerevan, Armenia, where he continues to create, exhibit, and contribute to the global contemporary art scene. His works are held in private collections around the world and reflect a deep engagement with form, color, and cultural identity.
