EDWARD L. RUBIN ARTIST STATEMENT
I create images of the world that I know, the world that I experience on the seen, and unseen side of life. And what do I know? Drama. Tension. Humor. Contradiction. Sensuality. Tragedy. Beauty. Ambiguity. Love. And God. I travel this world with my pastels, immersed in the creative process expressing hard-edged lines and soft blending layers of color; the sticks guide my journey. It is my hope, and desire, that others come with me, too, when they look at my work.
